As you read these simple truths, please take the time to ponder on what it really means. When you recognize that these really are true, your self confidence will grow, and you’ll step into light, purpose, faith, and love.
Know who you really are: a child of God
You are a son or daughter of God, and have a unique, divine, and eternal identity. Nobody is like you. You are part of God’s family, and he loves you so much! God is your Heavenly Father and he is the perfect father. He wants the best for you and will do all he can to make your life better. In fact, he already has given up his son, Jesus Christ, for you.
Know that whenever you make a mistake or struggle through a hard time, you can always turn to Jesus Christ. He is the master healer and Savior of the world. Take confidence in knowing that you are a child of God and that he loves us so much, he sent his only begotten Son.

You belong in the plan
God has a plan for you. He has a plan for everyone on this earth. We’re given the gift of agency, the gift to choose. God will never force you to do anything, and, instead, let’s you choose what you want to do. This gives you a unique opportunity to choose whatever path you want, and, as you use his help and guidance in the decision making process, you’ll feel purpose and satisfaction in your choices.
God answers everyone differently, and that’s OK
From personal experience, I always felt like God never gave me direct “yes” or “no” answers. The answer, instead, was, “Those are all good things. You can choose.” I then chose a path and listened, paid attention, and observed if there were any red flags along the way. Usually there weren’t, and things turned out as they should.
When I say “as they should” I don’t mean that everything turned out perfectly. My life has been far from perfect, and it took me forever to know and accept that writing is my path.
I jumped from one business to another: photography to videography, blogging, and so forth… until I finally stepped into writing, one of my purposes and callings. Some people might view all that other stuff as a waste, but I am so grateful for the experiences they provided me with. They taught me valuable social skills, business skills, and they even showed me what I don’t like doing! I’m a huge believer that everything happens for a reason. There are no coincidences. Everything is part of the plan, but we still get to choose!
As you trust that there’s a reason and plan, it makes it easier to trust God, make your choices, and move forward. Know that if the choice will lead down to something dangerous or take you away from God, the Holy Spirit will let you know and gently prompt you to make another choice. Trust in God, the plan, and let it boost your self confidence.
You have a divine identity and purpose
You were born into your body, family, and community for a purpose. These things will shape your perspective on the world but won’t stop you from doing the things you always wanted to do. In fact, know that you are a son or daughter of God, and let that push you forward in confidence. Because, if you’re a child of God, what can stop you from doing the great work you always wanted to do?

Have self confidence in knowing that God cares about you
God wants the best for us. That doesn’t mean he’ll take away personal challenges and heartaches—in fact, we need those experiences for our learning and growth.
