Building our Strong and Stunning Floating Shelves

You can put anything on these Floating Shelves! Very simple build and install. I just bought a 10 foot long 2×10 at Home Depot and cut it in half to make two 5 foot shelves. Next I applied some wood stain and one coat of polyurethane, then I just marked the studs and drilled holes in the wall and in the boards. Then it was just pounding in the rebar and sliding the selves into place. I also did use some caulk for a finishing touch, however they should stay just fine without it if you’ve drilled the right size of holes.
