Looking for an easy DIY (do it yourself) plant stand project? You can pretty much use any leftover pieces of wood to make these incredibly easy plant stands! We had a bunch of scraps lying around so we made a plant stand each for two of our orchid plants. The natural wood of these plant stands look really nice, so staining was not necessary.
We didn’t include any particular sizes of wood because you can make the plant stand match exactly what you want and need for your vase or plant holder. Just measure the size of your vase or pot and make the inside of the stand a little bigger than that.
Also feel free to customize the height. We wanted ours higher off the ground, but you can make it as tall or as short as you want. A lot of people will make large, short stands for the plants on their front porches, using this same style, for example.
We had enough wood for three legs each, but if you like the look of four legs, you can even customize these plant stands that way too.
Really, the options are endless! These can truly be customized to whatever you want. You can even go so far as making stands for smaller plants, like succulents and cactuses.
