No matter if you’re working hard towards a goal, starting a business, or diving into a creative endeavor, here are 8 comforting things you need to hear right now.
Especially if you’re a creator or entrepreneur, the odds are that you’ll hit a low point. Creating and sharing what you love is a roller coaster of ups and downs, highs and lows. The highs make room for encouragement, motivation, and gratitude, while the lows make way for discouragement, burnout, or even the feeling of giving up.
Here’s the thing: every creator or entrepreneur feels down at some point. A few words of validation, encouragement, and support are just what you need to get through this low. Because it’s going to get better. 🙂
Too often we forget that we’re human, and we need validation, comfort, and kindness as much as anyone else. You’re probably the type that gives to others. You give your time, compassion, listening ear, and more… and now it’s time to turn the tables.
Here are 8 comforting things you need to hear right now, no matter if you’re at a high point or low point. Let’s get to it…
You’re doing great
The truth is, you’re doing great! I know it might feel like everything is against you, or nobody cares or appreciates your work, but you are doing great. If you’re trying your best, putting in an effort, and trusting God’s plan, that’s all that matters.
The world and media often put limits on us, saying (in a non-direct way) that we’re not enough. Lists about “30 millionaires before age 30” or “40 things you have to do before 40” and more make us feel like we aren’t “cool” enough or “successful” enough.
But listen: you’re doing great!
If you’re putting in your best effort, having fun, and learning, you’re doing incredible. Also, remember that the only opinions that matter are your own and God’s opinion. Listen to yourself. Listen to God. You can feel confident in knowing that you’re giving it your all.

Everything will work out how it should
Right now may be hard, but there’s a plan and path ahead. In fact, things will work out.
They always do.
One thing that can help you fight discouragement in the moment is to stay present. Let yourself feel the emotions and work through them. Doing so will help you process, learn, and know how to best move forward.
We won’t be perfect in every decision we make, but staying present can help us appreciate the now.
There’s that old poem about how “today is a gift and that is why it’s called the present.” As tacky as it is, it’s true. Try to appreciate the present and know that everything is going to work out how it should. You’re putting in your best effort, and that’s all you can do. It’ll all be ok.
Look at how far you’ve come!
If you looked at yourself at the start of this journey, you should be surprised and pleased at how far you’ve come. Even if you’re still in the “beginning” of your endeavor, you have probably already learned so much!
Be grateful for that progress, process, and path.
And don’t stress too much over the failures. Failures are an important part of the journey and they work as stepping stones.
Don’t compare yourself to other people and their journey. Everybody moves at different rates and through their own seasons. Each person has a unique journey and contribution, including you.
Just because you’re doing something “later” or “earlier” than others doesn’t mean that you’re better or less, or that they’re better or less than others. Everyone has their own time table and season.

God loves you and never gives up on you
Another one of the most important comforting things you need to hear right now is that God loves you.
No matter what, He cares about you and has your best interest in mind. God wants you to succeed.
It doesn’t mean that things will be easy, but they’ll always be worth it.
Please also know that your efforts to spread Christlike love and be a contributing creative and entrepreneur, accepting your call from God, is greatly appreciated.
We need more God-loving people who aren’t afraid of the truth, and who will stand up for God when others shun him. If that’s you, THANK YOU.
It’s hard to be a business owner, leader, creator, artist, or whatever else you’re pursuing, because people don’t usually thank you for your work and the good you do. But know that your efforts are all seen and recognized by God. He loves you. He is pleased with your efforts and progress.
And the rest of us Christians and believers thank you for the contribution you make.
It’s going to get better
Things always get better.
There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
Entrepreneurship and creative endeavors have often been described as a roller coaster of emotions. The highs are high and the lows are low. But know that it always gets better!
Just as everything will work out the way it should, things will also get better and better. Focus on what you can control and let go of what you can’t control.
Your goals are possible
Another one of the big comforting things you need to hear right now is that your goals and dreams are absolutely possible. They’re never too big, small, or anything in between for you to reach.
So dream big.
Have hope.
And go for it!

People will say what they want
Who cares if you’re cringe? If you’re having fun doing what you love and learning along the way, then what do other peoples’ opinions matter?
The most important opinions come from you and from God. I know that’s the second time I’ve said that in this article but it’s worth repeating. Don’t dwell on what people say or think about you, and remember that this is your journey, your timing, and your path.
You are doing much better than you think, and things will work out better than you ever imagined!
So don’t give up, because we need you!
In conclusion, you’re amazing
In case nobody has told you today, you’re amazing. There’s nobody else on the earth like you. Although it may not always be expressed, there are so many people in your circle who appreciate you.
People look up to you for your courage to step into this endeavor. Others are inspired by you.
So don’t let one negative thing, a mistake, a failure, or obstacle stop you from doing what you love. Keep creating the beautiful life. Don’t give up.
Everything will work out as it should and you’ll come out stronger, wiser, and more resilient at the end of all this.
You’re amazing and you got this friend!
